1. [Chiara] How could Mussie and Ellie find out whether old people do more for charity than younger people?

They could look at some information on the internet and make a graph about them on the Microsoft Excel series.

2. [Hansel] Why does Mussie think that these data prove him right? Why might Ellie think that these data do not prove him right?

I guess because maybe the majority of website gives the same prices or almost same, I think they picked the best ones. Cause most likely they will find surveys.

3. [Shaun] What questions should they ask?

They should ask how much they are donating, how much time they will spend on charity work and they should ask how many times they have donated in their whole life.

    

4. [Hansel] How many questionnaires should they hand out? Who do you think should fill in their questionnaire?

I think they should hand out the questionnaires to all the people who donate, as much as they can to get the total amount of money they get, instead of counting it manually, since this is estimation and It will be very hard to find the donations for every single section. In fact, it is just estimation and this is just donation, you wouldn’t want the exact one, as long as you know how much they earn. I think it won’t be different.

   

5. [Chiara] Which software could Mussie and Ellie use to put the computer? How can they check that the data are correct? How could they reduce the number of errors in the data? What problems might there be if the data were typed in incorrectly?

They could use the Microsoft Office “Excel” series. They should check the data before they submit it, if any errors are found in the data, people would not understand the situation going on.

     

6. [Shaun] What is the best way for Ellie and Mussie to present their results?

They can use the pie chart because it can be seen easily.

Q1.)What might be the differences between a computer system set up for a business to use? Think about the different hardware that might be needed? (Shaun)

A.1.) The gaming system will be more expensive and you will need high speed processor, memory, modern, ram, powerful computer, good tower, a flat screen monitor (19 Inch), DVD drive, Speaker. Space etc to play the games. The business needs modern, printer.

Q2.)Earl has got £800 to spend. How can Shaheen work out if he has gotten enough money? What if he hasn’t got enough? What methods could Shaheen use to help her work out the prices of these different options? ? (Hansel)

A.2.) She dosen’t have to do anything if the price she add up meet the standard to the budget, but if it isn’t and the customer’s budget is not enough, than she will pick the most expensive one and give more options.

Q3.) What does Shaheen need to do to this spreadsheet model so that it is ready to use?(Shaun)

A.3.) She adds a title and some text labels and formats the spreadsheet to make it clear and easy to use.

Q4.) How can Shaheen use the spreadsheet model to help her with the new customer? What changes might she need to make her spreadsheet model?(Hansel)

A.4.) She has to list out what the requirement that has been given from the new customer.

(e.g Gaming Computer, 32GB, 50 Ram, budget $1000) Than Shaheen has to list in all the requirements and put the prices and total it up, than if the new customer does not have enough money, than she has to make it less. (e.g 32 GB = 12 GB) (Hansel)

Q5.) How else could Shaheen present this information to make it easier to read?

A.5.) Shaheen decides to create a graph of the information; Once she has done this it is much easier to see the pattern.(Chiara)

Loch Ness Monster

Is the Loch Ness Monster (a.k.a Nessie) real or fake?

Well, to be honest there’s current no evidence of the Loch Ness Monster being real or fake cause there’s no proof to it, unless you are god.

But the majority of proof that I found was it being fake.

There’s been so many argue and people trying to proof it real or fake after the picture token at the 1950s, some people say’s its just a elephant (As seen below)!

(Elephant swimming at the water might be thought to be the Loch Ness Monster)

 

Not only people said it was a elephant, some even said it’s a elephant, painting, a hand and even it was as well as it was just Photoshoped!

On 7 December 1975, that picture was proofed fake by The Sunday Telegraph. The picture was token by Robert Kenneth Wilson who was a british gynecologist. It was published in the Daily Mail on 21 April 1934. Wilson was not happy because it was called as "Surgeon's Photograph".

In 2011, there is person called George Edwards who claimed that he has been hunting for Loch Ness Monster for about 26 years! (That’s amazing!) He got a photograph (Below) of Nessie and was said one of the best! But there’s still several rumors of them saying it’s fake, but it was said to be real since it went to the “National Geographic Documents”

But overall, I would say it is overall fake, since the majority of info that I found was saying it is fake. But who knows? No one, maybe it’s real? Maybe it’s fake? Only time will tell. (And godJ)

Q1.) Where could Remy get his information from this article?

Remy could get it from, search engines (such as Google, yahoo, etc), Parents, newspaper, article, or even by interviewing people!

Q2.) How can Remy use the Internet to find what he wants?

Well, since it’s not relevant, there are always options on a search engine as “Keyword”, just select that and you’ll get the ones you want.

Q3.) Why has Remy got over two million results? Why are some of the websites he has found not relevant? How could Remy improve the results?

Well, first of all. It is usally shown in those websites because probably someone has commented the same thing he wanted. Maybe they were off-topic. So the system (e.g Google) thinks it’s related so It shows you that.

But what you could do, Like I said just the option Keyword and put a “’ (Punctuation) at your question.

Q4.) Can Remy trust this information? Why might it be unreliable?

Well, usually not all sites have the same answers. Some of them are just rubbish.

But you could try opening some pages, e.g. 10 and find the majority of answer. (e.g. 3 Yes, and 6 No, 1 I don’t know) and find for the best one!

Q5.) What software should Remy use? What should he do before he starts using the software?

Remy should use

• (A search engine) Google recommended
• (Microsoft Word related) Microsoft word or Pages, etc. Anything similar will do.

Remy will have to do some thinking, do some drafts.

• Brainstorm
• Do Drafts
• Design
• Plan
• Get description
• (Optional) Get lots of article and mash it up together and make a summery.

Q6.) Remy should put lots of picture and design it really well, and try to make it less boring.

How?

You could ask Remy’s friends and see if it’s good or not, and observer, take critics before publishing.

Also, make it colorful to attract people and more interesting.

Since if it’s really boring, no one will care and they will not read it.

Than, after all you are just wasting your time.
